I am a linguist, science communicator and comedian who occasionally moonlights as a lecturer at the University of Liverpool. With a PhD in evolutionary linguistics and an obsession with all things sci-fi, her favourite thing to think about is how to communicate with aliens. She has performed well-received, science-themed comedy shows across the UK, including at the British Science Festival and TEDx, and has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Stranger than Sci-Fi and Word of Mouth.
