Hello! I am a recent Biochemistry graduate from Cardiff University. I am starting a Masters degree in Nutritional Science at Nottingham University due to my interest in metabolism, diet, and public health. I am also extremely passionate about ensuring the information between science to the media and general public is communicated effectively.
I believe public engagement events which address different areas of science are essential for promoting a strong relationship between science and the public. I took part in an event held for participants in the 'Born in Bradford' cohort study. This involved interacting with children and parents, describing punnet square diagrams, DNA through colour coded bracelets and the nature of the genome with bunting.
