This tour tells some unusual and unfamiliar stories of Victorian ingenuity, forgotten heroes and their curious enterprises. It includes the stories of engineers, inventors, a doctor, a naturalist, of an ancestor of Meccano, and of how the Victorians created virtual reality. This is a relaxed walking tour taking in the ornamental gardens of Regent's Park and John Nash's Regency architecture around the margins.
